Our private sewing lessons and fashion illustration lessons for children, teens and adults can cover beginner, intermediate and advanced sewing, fashion sketching, knitting, crochet, and portfolio development. Choose from our menu of projects or create your own!

We work on easy to use Bernette by Bernina sewing machines in our fully equipped sewing studio.

You can even bring in your own sewing machine for a lesson on how to use it!

We pair you with an instructor who will fit your specific needs and skill level. Our individual or group private sewing lessons are sure to have you sewing in no time!

Private sewing and fashion design lessons can include:

How to Use Your Sewing Machine Bring in your machine for a lesson on threading, machine functions, and that pesky bobbin! We will cover all of the basics of set up and machine use with you.
Simple Pattern Making and Draping Our knowledgeable instructors can show you how your body measurements can be made into a basic pattern or sloper. We can also teach the basics of draping on a dress form.
Fashion Sketching and Illustration From the basic Croquis (fashion figure) to fabric rendering our teachers can take your sketching skills to the next level!

Private Lesson Sewing Project Suggestions

All private lessons are one-on-one in a private classroom for $90 per hour. Each additional student is $50 per hour.

Fabric is included for any project chosen from our menu below (you’re also welcome to bring your own). Just a heads up—our fabric selection tends to suit younger students, so if you have something specific in mind, feel free to bring it along.

We don't offer lessons in specialized areas of sewing such as quilting, tailoring, swimwear, evening wear, or lingerie.
