Create tangible, expressive fashion work in this comprehensive class run by influencer and designer Emma Rubinson. Even if your child is not at the portfolio creation stage (like applying to creative high schools, FIT, or Parsons) this course will help them think about design differently, expand their fashion reference, and give them technical skills for sketching, fabric rendering, and portfolio creation.

Creating a portfolio is a multifaceted process that involves numerous steps, including research, sketching, designing, revising, and refining, to effectively showcase your talent and vision. While this course does not promise a completed portfolio by the end, it will equip you with the guidance, techniques, and insights necessary to create a fabulous portfolio.

All participants under the age of 18 must have a waiver form signed by a parent or guardian before attending any class, camp, or workshop.
Registration and Processing Fee: Our registration and processing fees, equal to 30% of the total cost for a course, camp, class, or workshop, are non-refundable. These fees help cover the costs of enrolling students and managing customer communication. However, they may be transferred if rescheduling occurs within the specified timeframe outlined below.
Membership:
- Our multi-week courses are available through a monthly membership that automatically renews throughout the school year. If you need to make changes or cancel, please provide at least 30 days’ notice before your next billing date.
- If cancellation is not requested prior to the end of a class session, your enrollment will carry over to the next season automatically and you will continue to be billed on a monthly basis.
- All members have access to unlimited makeup classes that DO rollover into the next season, so long as your membership is active.
Making Up a Missed Class:
- Currently enrolled students at The Fashion Class can enjoy unlimited make-up classes for any missed sessions within their registration season (Fall, Winter, Spring). To schedule a make-up session, please contact us to arrange a different class time.
- Please note: Make-up classes must be completed within the same season as the missed class. For example, if a class is missed during the Fall season, the make-up must be scheduled within that same Fall season.
- Make-up classes are offered as a courtesy and have no monetary value.
Rescheduling and Date Transfers:
All date changes are based on availability.
- Courses/Multi-Week Classes can be rescheduled with one week notice.
- One-Day Camps can be rescheduled with one week notice.
- Summer Camps/Weekly Camps can be rescheduled with three week's notice.
- Birthday Parties/Special Events can be rescheduled with three week's notice.
- One Day Lessons (Private Lessons/Sewing Playdates/Mommy and Me Lessons/Seasonal Workshops/Sip & Sew Events) can be rescheduled with 48 hour's notice.
Cancellations:
No-Shows: If your child does not attend a class, workshop, or camp without prior notice, the full fee will be forfeited. To avoid this, please inform us in advance if your child will be unable to attend.
- Week-Long and Summer Camp Registration Cancellation:
- 30 or more days before the camp start date: 70% refund
- 15-29 days before: 50% refund
- 2-14 days before: 25% refund
- Birthday Party & Special Event cancellations will result in the forfeiture of the $250 deposit.
- Registration Cancellation for all other offerings: (including Courses, Individual Classes, Workshops, One-Day Camps, Mommy and Me Lessons, and Playdates) If you need to cancel your registration, please notify us at least one week before the class start date. We will issue a refund, minus the 30% registration fee outlined above, within 10 business days.
- If we cancel due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you’ll receive a full refund within 10 business days.
