2026-2027 Fashion Design and Sewing classes for kids ages 6-12:

  • Learn to use a sewing machine, safely.
  • Create real garments.
  • Make fashion friends.

Each season during the school year, we introduce exciting new projects to keep things fresh and engaging. Our skill-building classes help students enhance their sewing abilities by learning the essentials: measuring, cutting, and using a sewing machine to create real and wearable clothing and accessories (think tops, jumpsuits, jackets, fancy purses, and more).

Registration Options:

  1. Seasonal: Register by the season — Fall, Winter, and Spring, 12–13 weeks each
  2. Monthly Membership: Pay $255 today, then monthly October through June. Members also enjoy new perks! membership benefits now include:
    • 10% off all retail items
    • $25 credit toward a birthday party booking

Extras & Bonuses:

  • Miss a class? No problem! We offer unlimited make-up classes for current enrollees to ensure your child doesn’t miss out on any sewing fun. Please book your makeup during the same season.
  • School Pickup Available in our earlier design class from 3-4PM. Contact any studio for more details. 
  • Seasonal fashion show for parents and friends!

Class Details:

  • Duration: 90-minute weekly classes.

What We’ll Learn:

  • Introduction to using a sewing machine complete with safety features like speed control and finger guards.
  • Measuring, cutting fabric (with our branded kid-safe scissors), and using patterns (created by us for kid designers).
  • And how to create 2-3 fashionable items to take home and wear.
  • Plus showcase it all in a seasonal fashion show!

Each student works on their own project at their own pace with guidance from our professional instructors. Our small class size ensures lots of personal attention, with a student/teacher ratio of 6:1 and a maximum of 12 students per class.

Seasons:

  • Fall: Sept 8th - Dec 6th 2026
  • Winter: Dec 7th - March 14th 2027 
  • Spring: March 15th - June 20th 2027

Our Policies

All participants under the age of 18 must have a waiver form signed by a parent or guardian before attending any class, camp, or workshop.

Registration and Processing Fee: Our registration and processing fees, equal to 30% of the total cost for a course, camp, class, or workshop, are non-refundable. These fees help cover the costs of enrolling students and managing customer communication. However, they may be transferred if rescheduling occurs within the specified timeframe outlined below.

Membership: 

  • Our multi-week courses are available through a monthly membership that automatically renews throughout the school year. If you need to make changes or cancel, please provide at least 30 days’ notice before your next billing date.
  • If cancellation is not requested prior to the end of a class session, your enrollment will carry over to the next season automatically and you will continue to be billed on a monthly basis.
  • All members have access to unlimited makeup classes that DO rollover into the next season, so long as your membership is active.

Making Up a Missed Class: 

  • Currently enrolled students at The Fashion Class can enjoy unlimited make-up classes for any missed sessions within their registration season (Fall, Winter, Spring). To schedule a make-up session, please contact us to arrange a different class time.
  • Please note: Make-up classes must be completed within the same season as the missed class. For example, if a class is missed during the Fall season, the make-up must be scheduled within that same Fall season.
  • Make-up classes are offered as a courtesy and have no monetary value.

Rescheduling and Date Transfers:

All date changes are based on availability.

  • Courses/Multi-Week Classes can be rescheduled with one week notice.
  • One-Day Camps can be rescheduled with one week notice.
  • Summer Camps/Weekly Camps can be rescheduled with three week's notice.
  • Birthday Parties/Special Events can be rescheduled with three week's notice.
  • One Day Lessons (Private Lessons/Sewing Playdates/Mommy and Me Lessons/Seasonal Workshops/Sip & Sew Events) can be rescheduled with 48 hour's notice.

Cancellations:

No-Shows: If your child does not attend a class, workshop, or camp without prior notice, the full fee will be forfeited. To avoid this, please inform us in advance if your child will be unable to attend.

  • Week-Long and Summer Camp Registration Cancellation:
  1. 30 or more days before the camp start date: 70% refund
  2. 15-29 days before: 50% refund
  3. 2-14 days before: 25% refund
  • Birthday Party & Special Event cancellations will result in the forfeiture of the $250 deposit.
  • Registration Cancellation for all other offerings: (including Courses, Individual Classes, Workshops, One-Day Camps, Mommy and Me Lessons, and Playdates) If you need to cancel your registration, please notify us at least one week before the class start date. We will issue a refund, minus the 30% registration fee outlined above, within 10 business days.
  • If we cancel due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you’ll receive a full refund within 10 business days.
